News n°5: MUSH-OCEAN in Cambridge

David Jousselin, Lydéric France, and Nicolas Estèves (a PhD student from CRPG working on granitic plutonic bodies emplacement and evolution) visited the University of Cambridge University to launch a collaboration…

News n°6: New post-doc researcher joins MUSH-OCEAN consortium: Jie Chen (ENS-Paris)

Jie Chen started a 2-year post-doc position at ENS-Paris in collaboration with Jean-Arthur Olive. In the frame of MUSH-OCEAN project, Jie will elaborate and conduct thermal numerical simulations to provide new constraints on the thermal evolution with time of oceanic igneous reservoirs. He will more specifically explore the melt-mush relations in such systems, and better … Read more

News n°5: MUSH-OCEAN in Cambridge

David Jousselin, Lydéric France, and Nicolas Estèves (a PhD student from CRPG working on granitic plutonic bodies emplacement and evolution) visited the University of Cambridge University to launch a collaboration with Pr. Marian Holness (fellow of the Royal Society) in the frame of MUSH-OCEAN project. The objective was to learn how to measure dihedral angles … Read more

News n°4: MUSH-OCEAN Kick-off meeting

Most of the actors of MUSH-OCEAN project gathered together at CRPG (Nancy, France) the 22th-23rd of January 2024 for our kick-off meeting. We had 13 scientific presentations over the two days, and several general and more technical discussions between the 15 participants.

News n°3: First PhD student of MUSH-OCEAN: Cloé Falc’hun (CRPG)

Cloé Falc’hun just started her PhD at CRPG under the supervision of Lydéric France (CRPG), Pierre Bouilhol (CRPG), and Muriel Laubier (LMV). Her project entitled “Magma-mush dynamics during oceanic crust accretion” will allow her to conduct thermodynamic models of the melt-mush reactions, and to study in further details natural samples with the aim to better … Read more

News n°2: Marine Boulanger got a 2-year ClerVolc fellowship

Marine Boulanger (LMV, Clermont, France) who work actively on MUSH-OCEAN project got a 2-year fellowship at LMV. Her project will focus on melt-rock and melt-mush reactions in oceanic lithosphere with an experimental petrology approach. Congratulations Marine!

News n°1: MUSH-OCEAN is funded!!

MUSH-OCEAN project has been funded in 2023. The main project is funded by the French ANR program, along with a PhD funded by Université de Lorraine, and a post-doctoral fellowship funded by ClerVolc. MUSH-OCEAN is a 4-partner project involving CRPG (Nancy, France), ENS (Paris, France), ISTO (Orléans, France), and LMV (Clermont-Ferrand, France).
